What is a Wool Ball?

Wool ball is an eco-friendly accessory made entirely from natural wool fibers, used especially in tumble dryers. Replacing classic fabric softeners and disposable dryer sheets, this product allows laundry to dry in a more natural, soft, and fresh way.

In keeping with La Patria's high quality standards, the wool balls we're talking about are made from 100% pure 24.5 micron Merino wool. Merino wool is one of the finest and most durable types of wool in the world. This ensures both flexibility and longevity of the ball surface.

Purpose and Effect

The wool ball rotates with the laundry inside the dryer. During this movement, it prevents the clothes from sticking together and increases air circulation by allowing air to enter between them. This allows:

Drying time is shortened (on average 25–30% faster drying).
Static electricity is reduced, and fabrics won't stick together.
Natural softness is achieved, eliminating the need for chemical fabric softeners.

Each wool ball acts like a small air pump inside the drum during drying. By introducing air between the laundry, it allows moisture to evaporate more quickly. This physical effect also makes the fabric fibers appear more voluminous.

Usage

Place the laundry in the dryer.
Use 3 wool balls for an average load.
If you wish, you can add a few drops of natural essential oil (such as Maison Dodo perfume essence) to each ball of laundry to make them smell wonderful.
Start the drying program.

The wool balls rotate continuously throughout the drying process, making contact with the laundry. This helps to remove moisture and soften the fabric fibers.
